Emergency Communications¶
Minimum Content¶
- incident summary
- systems and roles impacted
- immediate safety controls activated
- next update timestamp
- public/internal separation of sensitive details
Communication Cadence¶
- initial alert at detection
- update at each containment milestone
- closure report with corrective actions
Message Shape¶
Each update should include current impact, affected contracts or workflows, actions already taken, actions pending, owner, and next decision point. Do not claim user funds are safe, claims are enabled, or upgrades are cancelled unless the relevant on-chain evidence has been inspected.
Escalation Rules¶
Governance signers need decoded calldata and role impact. Operators need whether to pause deposits, claims, receipts, or exits. Engineers need source or runtime evidence. External stakeholders should receive only confirmed impact and next update timing unless counsel or governance approves more detail.
Evidence To Archive¶
Archive messages sent, approval chain, timestamps, incident room notes, affected tx hashes, and final postmortem link.
